I'm Amy MacDonald

I'm a UX Designer with 4 years of experience who is passionate about solving complex problems with intuitive, elegant solutions.
 

I have had more of a non-traditional start to my UX career.

I always had a passion for working with people and turned that into a career as a recruiter. I worked as a technical and corporate recruiter among some of the top tech companies in Salt Lake City but then decided to make a career change and enrolled in a UX Design Bootcamp.

Since graduating I have worked as a UX Designer at Unite.ly (a communication and collaboration platform), and Filevine (a case management platform). I am currently working at Affinipay focusing on MyCase Accounting (a legal accounting add-on to the MyCase software) and our new Expense Management software (MyCase Smart Spend).
 

I am an active learner, who is always curious, willing to dig deeper into research, tackle new and challenging problems, constantly expand my skills, and continue to grow as a designer.

When I'm not working on design I like to spend time with my boyfriend, Dennis, and our fur babies, Nova and Barkley. I also love to travel, watch movies, golf, and explore new bars and restaurants in the Salt Lake area.
